Radio Misty Partners With Lions Fest 2010

Radio Misty 94.3 fm, the First and Number one Fm station of North Bengal have partnered with Lions Fest 2010 which was held in Siliguri. This Fest was hosted by Lions Club of Siliguri Yuva.About 46 schools participated in this event. There was antakshari, debate, drawing competition held at this event. The event was organized to show case talents of students.

Lion&amp;rsquo;s club yuva president Dipesh Sharma said that this is a unique event where schools from all over the region participated .Radio Misty supported this event .This gave an opportunity to students to show their hidden talents of students.

Radio Misty Chief Executive officer Nishant Mittal said that we have always supported these initiatives to promote talents in this region. Lions Yuva have done a wonderful event .Radio Misty RJ were at the show and made a buzz around this fest. These events draw a huge crowd from all over the region.

Radio Misty Sikkim is official Radio Partner to IPSC football Tournament
Tashi Namgyal Academy, where Indian soccer captain Bhaichung Bhutia blossomed as a promising footballer two decades ago, will host the Indian Public Schools&amp;rsquo; Conference Football Tournament from September 1 at Gangtok. Radio Misty Sikkim 95 fm is the official Radio Partner of this event.
Established in 1939, the IPSC is a conglomeration of public schools in the country. &amp;ldquo;The Indian Public School should not be confused with a large number of schools, which liberally adopt &amp;lsquo;Public School&amp;rsquo; with its name,&amp;rdquo; reads a media release of the IPSC. The government of India recognises only such institutions as Public Schools which are members of IPSC, it says. Currently, 78 public schools, including TNA, are members of the IPSC.

Bhaichung, as a student of Class X, had led TNA to win the IPSC soccer tournament on consecutive occasions in 1990 and 1991. In fact, he had been declared the best player of the tourney at Mayo College, Ajmer, in 1991.This year, 15 school teams from across the country are participating in the five-day tournament being organised by the TNA faculty and the TNA Alumni Association.
Apart from TNA, the other teams are &amp;mdash; Birla Public School (Pilani), Donyi Polo Vidya Bhavan (Itanagar), Mann Public School (Delhi), Modern School (Delhi), Motilal Nehru School of Sports (Sonipat), Phoenix Public School (Karnataka), Raj Kumar College (Rajkot), Sainik School (Goalpara), The Daly College (Indore), Hyderabad Public School (Ramanthapur), Lawrence School (Himachal Pradesh), Scindia School (Gwalior) and Yadavindra Public School (Patiala).Mann Public School is the defending champion of the ISPC football tournament 2009 hosted by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Baroda, last year.

Radio Misty Chief Executive Officer Nishant Mittal has set a National Record as youngest Radio Chief Executive officer of country. India Book of Records has confirmed this record and sent a certificate on this achievement.

An alumnus of Manchester School of Business Nishant Mittal took over as Chief Executive Officer of Radio Misty on 14th November 2007 at the age of 22 Years. He has also been elected as Vice President of Association of Radio Operators for India (AROI), the National Body of Radio Operators in Country. He has been regularly writing on different issues in Newspapers and magazines across the country.

Under his leadership Radio Misty established stations at Siliguri in West Bengal and Gangtok in Sikkim. Nishant have made Radio Misty a household name in North Bengal and Sikkim. Radio Misty is a part of the PCM Group, one of the largest groups of Eastern India. Radio Misty is the first and Number one fm station of the region. Radio Misty 94.3 fm, the first and Number one fm station of North Bengal partnered with cycle rally Bikeathon 2010 was organized in Siliguri here to spread awareness about the dangers of global warming and how driving cycles could reduce the threat. The organizers described the cycle as the most viable mode of travel to check pollution.

Cycle is the future, because slowly and gradually, petrol and diesel are becoming less and prices will increase and pollution will also increase. Our effort is to take the people and their support. Our thinking is that this will move forward, said Siladitya Choudhury, the chief organizer. Enthusiastic participants said their endeavour was to set an example for Indians and others on ways to save the environment. We have participated in this so that the world can learn a lesson on how to save the environment. By using the cycles, there is no pollution and with this, the country could be saved from pollution, said Dinesh Kumar Roy, a participant. Thousands of people participated in this rally .Spectators described it as a good step. This is a very good step. This will reduce pollution and even improve health,&amp;quot; said Hem Chandra Paul, a spectator. People from all walks of life gathered to cheer the participants.
