Radio Mirchi listeners vote 'Jayanthi' as the hottest star of Sandalwood

Bengaluru, December, 2009: If Bollywood star Katrina Kaif is the hottest woman of Asia! Ever wondered, who is the hottest star of Sandalwood?

Well, Radio Mirchi listeners have given their verdict! Our very own ‘Miss Leelavathi’, ‘Abhinaya Shaaradhe Jayanthi’ has been voted the hottest star ever in history of 75 years of Sandalwood’s existence. 99% of the listeners have voted the veteran actress over the current glamorous new comers of Sandalwood.

Informing her of the new found status, Jayanthi was taken live on Radio Mirchi’s Rewind Raaga show hosted by RJ Pallavi. Jayanthi was taken by surprise on the 99% votes and humbly thanked all her fans for their support. Still young at heart, the sportive senior artist was seen questioning about that one percent that was missed.

Sharing the secret of her beauty, Jayanthi exclaimed, “I keep myself cheerful all the time and that is mirrored on my face. I love myself and that is the biggest secret of youthfulness!”

One of the naughty senior citizen fans said, “Jayanthi was my hot favourite during my college days, I had her paper cut outs all over my room. We guys would go nuts to watch the 1st day, 1st show of Jayanthi’s new release”.

Speaking highly about the actor, one of the female fans said, “Jayanthi has done some commendable performances in movies like Edakallu Guddda Mele, Bahadur Gandu etc. At one point of time she was a fashion icon, one should never miss watching the movie Miss Leelavathi where Jayanthi carried out the character with such attitude and oomph”.

The poll was conducted in the Rewind Raaga show on Radio Mirchi which is on-air from Monday to Friday between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
