Nokia S 60 Hard Format

Hard Format : (Not for all phone can't use this option, it tested on 6600 & 6630 successful)

Hard Format can be done if your phone is facing any of the problems mentioned below :

1. Blank screen. Phone unable to reboot.
2. Phone only able to boot-up to "Nokia" word screen.
3. Installed some program but not able to uninstall it after that.
4. Error messages such as "Child Installer" keeps popping-up.

Make sure cell battery is atleast 75% charged. If its not then you are putting your cell at risk. If its atleast 75% charged then do the following:

1. Switch off the phone.
2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (call answer) button, * button, and '3' button.
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone. Do not release the previous button until the message 'Formatting' appear on the screen.
4. When the message 'Formatting' appears on the screen, release all of the buttons.(some phones shows only 'select home city' after formatting)

The procedure takes some minutes (approx. 3-4) so dont panic.

Note that you shouldn't switch the phone off or remove the battery when performing either of these operations.

HOW TO FORMAT/ HARD RESET NOKIA 5800, N97, X6 AND OTHER SYMBIAN S60 5th ED. PHONES?

1. Nokia 5800XM/5802/5530XM/5230/5233/5235/ C6/X6 –

Switch-off the phone (Remove the battery and re- insert it, if necessary). Now Press and HOLD the GREEN (Call) key, RED (Call end) key and the Camera-capture key SIMULTANEOUSLY. While still pressing the above three keys press the power On/Off key, hold them until phone boots up.

2. Nokia N97 and N97 mini –
Press and HOLD the left shift key, spacebar key and the back key simultaneously. While still holding the above three keys, press power-on key, hold them until the phone boots-up.

NOTE however that the format will erase all the data in phone memory and you will also lose your free music that came with the phone. Also make sure to fully charge the phone’s battery before the format process.
