Indu decides to prepare the best pickle for Mukundi and seeks mausi’s help along with Kachua who volunteers to help Indu pick the right ingredients. Meanwhile on the other hand the town’s local neta is busy picking MLA’s from a neta mandi. A party veteran warns the party chief that he should be careful while selecting MLA’s for his organisation because one wrong candidate could spoil the whole environment, but the leader pays no heed. So will Indu receive success in her venture? Or will the politician choose the right MLA’s.

Blood Donation Drive in Lapataganj

Wednesday, May 12th, 10pm only on SAB

An announcement is made about a blood donation camp being held in lapataganj. The people who volunteer will be paid rupees 50 and will be given a good breakfast. Meanwhile a local neta arranges for a dancer to get people engrossed so as to collect more blood than permitted. The collected blood will then be sent to hospitals located in town. But in a terrible accident when Kachua gets hurt, the people of Lapataganj realize that there is no blood in the local hospital and all the money has been sent to town. Finally Eliza the local tailor donates blood as nobody else is in a condition to donate and saves Kachua’s life.

Thursday 3rd June 10 P.M only on SAB

As Indu goes to a mela along with Chukundi, he insists that Indu should win prizes in different competitions being held in different stalls there. After losing a few prizes, Indu surprisingly bags all the prizes and also manages to win the bumper prize which is an elephant ride. But the real surprise comes later when Mukundi who had gone out for some official work, comes back home and sees a man peeping inside his house.

Mukundi questions him and finds out that he is a Municipal Corporation employee and has come to take money from him as he has left his elephant in the govt owned ground. Everybody comes and congratulates Mukundi while he is zapped.

Monday 7th June 10 P.M only on SAB

Mukundi is really irritated with the fact that Indumati took a wrong decision. But he agrees to get the elephant from the ground as otherwise he would have to pay a fine to the Municipal Corporation. He goes to the ground and finds that a special person is required to take care of the elephant and not everybody can ride it. Mama helps Mukundi by introducing him to Mmanglo, the Mahawat. Finally we see Laxmi Narayan, the elephant, entering Lapataganj. Everyone is excited and Indu along with Mausi and Surili do a puja on the occasion. They also name the elephant. Later at night Indu is not able to sleep as she is constantly bothered about how will Laxmi Narayan sleep or if he is hungry. Mukundi, too, feels proud of Indu for winning the elephant as people will now know him as ‘Mukundi lala Gupta haathi waale’ rather than his regular name. He starts to dream about going to the office with the elephant. However, wit the police banging the door of Mukundi’s house, how long will the dreams last??

Surili Ka Exam in Lapataganj Wednesday 2nd June 10 P.M only on SAB

Biji and Guddu go to the examination centre dressed up like girls also thereby managing to get through the checking at the entrance. Once they reach the hall they try their best to tell Surili what they have come for but she is not able to understand their motive initially. Guddu ends up giving all the notes to another girl who he finds to be very cute and also seems to be interested in him. Meanwhile, Biji tries to get the examination paper by bribing a teacher but Surili declines the offer saying that she will not be a part of something so unethical. Biji and Guddu fail in their attempts to help Surili. In the end, we see that the results are out and Surili passes with flying colors while the other girl fails.

Its the beginning of a new month and Mukundi stands in the ration queue but returns home empty hands. Indu yells at him for not reaching the ration shop early. Biji goes to buy jalebi for Surili but realizes that the prices have gone up and buying jalebi for Surili is, now, beyond his reach. Everyone in lapataganj gather and discuss the issue of rising prices ending up into a flashback where they are all dressed in 1950’s style. Everything back then was really cheap, but still as always the prices, back then, too seem to be very high. They all return from the flashback and decide to meet the local neta and discuss the issue with him.

But even today the neta has no answer to the janta’s question. People leave from there and decide to take some action against all the injustice done to them all these years. They, ultimately, decide to boycott all the expensive things sold in the market.

Everybody in lapataganj has boycotted everything that is expensive. They all start growing vegetables according to their need in their gardens. On the other hand, the neta is worried as the common man has stopped buying goods and if there is no consumption then the ration and vegetables will rot in the stores. Neta finally understands that this non-cooperation movement will not end till the time they don’t reduce the prices and he gives up and lowers the price levels. So, if we want the government to do something for us then we all have to take a stand rather than sitting and complaining about it.
