Catching C-BAND channels with a 90cms KU-DISH
Tried it today with 90cms dish and here are some pics from the experiment, with my Eurosatr lnb + feedhorn, and a 90cms KU-BAND dish, The placing of scalar needs a lot of experiments
Since this lnb is only single polarity , Had to rotate it for H &V, And also tune with 13/18V selected in the receiver First the fixing part, That was easy , get an old pipe clamp and bend it to hold the lnb Guests cannot see images in the messages. RE: Catching C-BAND channels with a 90cms KU-DISH
AT this point the curiosity took over and that made me move to 93.5, Insat-4B not good enough, Well INSAT-3A oops , the old satellite has a lot of muscle, it locked
4B, Very poor, this is the only TP I could lock, Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see images. RE: Catching C-BAND channels with a 90cms KU-DISH
to 83E, Well few channels from Insat-4A locked, Could not find the lock for V channels , means 2E is not easy with this setup, A conical scalar may catch much more, For the time being it is very cold and My hair going wet , SO stopped here for now

See the angle of look for two dishes Both aimed at 83E, That is the difference in aiming a prime focus and offset dish Guests cannot see images in the messages. RE: Catching C-BAND channels with a 90cms KU-DISH
Super, you done a very great work.I think you get easily C band signals of ST_1 at 88 East, satellite at Apstar 2R- 76East,and Intelsat7& 10- 68East,because that birds have more signal strength over India.I tried few days before C band signals of ST-1 at 88 East by my sun direct KU band dish but I can't.
