Bala Iyengar appointed Business Head of ZoOm Entertainment Network (ZEN)

Mumbai, 3rd December, 2009: ZoOm India’s hottest destination for Bollywood content has announced the appointment of Bala Iyengar as the new Business Head of ZoOm Entertainment Network (ZEN). Bala Iyengar takes on the mantle from M K Anand, erstwhile Business Head of the channel.

Bala Iyengar has till now been the General Manager-revenue of ZoOm TV for over the last several years, successfully steering the channel through ups and downs. Beginning December 01 2009 Bala has taken over the role of Business Head, ZoOm Entertainment Network and is based in Mumbai.

Speaking on his appointment Bala Iyengar said, “I’m really excited to take on this challenging new role, especially at a time when there is so much happening in the channel in terms of creativity and content. Brand ZoOm has tremendous potential to further connect with today’s youth and I’m really inspired to be part of this phenomenon.”

Bala Iyengar started his career in the Ad Sales Department of Times Response, Bombay Times Team in the year 1997. He moved on and gave his career a new meaning with his stint in TV Ad Sales in Sony Entertainment, and headed the Bangalore office of Star Movies and Star World. He further shifted base in Mumbai as Account Director with MTV and went on to become the Regional Head West for ZoOm in 2005.
