“The Sound of Christmas” – the star and the fashion company spread romantic feelings during the most wonderful time of the year

The German fashion and lifestyle company s.Oliver, has won the internationally successful star and violin virtuoso David Garrett for its 2009 Christmas Campaign. In New York, the celebrated musician posed for the elegant lifestyle world of the premium line s.Oliver Selection and the leisure and trend fashions of s.Oliver Casual. The campaign images shot by Andreas Hofweber show the artist from his cool and his romantic side against the lavish backdrop of a rebuilt theatre stage. The female lead in the campaign is the model Tatjana Gellert; the other big star is David Garrett’s 1718 “Antonio Stradivarius”, which the musician did not put down once during the entire shoot.

As a testimonial to the German brand, David Garrett will be seen in numerous promotions surrounding fashion and music: Christmas presents for his fans as well as s.Oliver customers include Meet & Greets with the attractive artist and tickets for concerts in his “Classic Romance” tour of Germany in January 2010. David Garret also flexed his creative muscle for s.Oliver, collaborating with the Casual design team he created a T-shirt for men and women that will be available in a limited edition – just in time for Christmas shopping from 4 December. The style is sold exclusively in s.Oliver stores for €15.95,in India Rs 1,099(will be in stores next week in India).

From 19 November 2009 the stunning campaign images will be on display wherever s.Oliver clothing is sold. The same is true for the s.Oliver website www.soliver.com and the s.Oliver online shop www.soliver.de. The same goes for outfits worn by the star during the shoot.

The campaign which was conceptualized by s.Oliver also appears as the artwork for David Garrett’s new album “Classic Romance”, coming out in November. s.Oliver acts as supporting sponsor of his current the “Classic Romance” Tour, which brings the star to Germany and the US. Born in Aachen, Germany in 1981, David Garrett was already performing internationally as a solo artist at the tender age of 13, which was also when he received his first recording contract from Deutsche Grammophon. Since then, he has been celebrated as the “greatest violinist of his generation”. In addition to various awards such as the Echo Classic and numerous world records, the artist is notable for his striking appearance and unique affinity for rock music. The Süddeutsche Zeitung called him the “reincarnation of the 18th- and 19th-century

virtuoso”, and German newspaper BILD described his most recent tour as consisting of nothing but “goose-bump concerts”. In 2008, German GQ presented the former “wunderkind” and classic star with the GQ – Man of the Year Award.
