Just as you thought Zee TV was done with its quota of fresh new shows for the season, the channel is busy packing in a surprise for its viewers this September. And if the buzz is anything to go by, the surprise in question will be a frothy, breezy, light-hearted and fun-filled one! A project titled ‘Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milayee Jodi’ is slated to go on air on Zee TV in late September. It’s not a comedy, it’s not another love story. It’s definitely not a reality show. Horror? Action? Fantasy? Nah! ‘Ram Milayee Jodi’ is a celebration of India’s admirable sense of tolerance that exists between the different communities that comfortably co-exist and amicably inter-mingle on its soil. Yes! There are bound to be differences. There WILL be cultural shocks. There will be “digestion problems” when it comes to accepting each other’s little quirks! But at the end of the day, we make up and ensure that “Aal izz Well”!
Ram Milayee Jodi is the story of a shy, sweet Gujarati boy and a Punjabi kudi who’s nothing short of a phataka. No marks for guessing that they fall in love, but will their families fall in love with each other too? Ahem! We’ll see.
With well-known faces like Krutika Desai, Lalit Tiwari, Sunil Sinha, Chitrapama and Reva Babbar in its cast, the show plans to introduce two fresh faces that you will fall in love with at first sight.
