Delhi, 27th August, 2010:- An amalgamation of the best of two worlds…that’s what AMUL CHHOTE USTAAD – Do Deshon Ki Ek Awaaz has pledged to provide to its viewers. The show brings together the two most eminent mediums that have been responsible for re-uniting the countries on different occasions – cricket and music. This Sunday, the show will not only put together the voices of two nations but will reach another milestone when the occasion will be commemorated with the presence of the famous Indo-Pak Jodi of cricketers and commentators, Wasim Akram and Sanjay Manjrekar who would be seen promoting the Champion’s League starting 10th September on the sets of Amul Chhote Ustaad.
Singing to the tunes of “Kesariya Balam”, Sonu Nigam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will give a grand opening to a folk special episode. A cracker of an episode, the event seems to kick off with a unique style of cricket commentary on folk songs. To begin with, Mair and Mayuri, the “Painterwaan Jodi” will come up with an outstanding performance on “Baanwre Baanwre”.
While the cricketers were there to promote the Champion’s League that starts from 10th September, they tried their best to inculcate the sportsman spirit in the contestants. Under the fear of an elimination, the “Jhappi Jodi” sing “Jaane Khuda”, one of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s best compositions, to which Sanjay in his very own Cricket commentary style said that, “their performance was full of Yorkers and bouncers and said Moon was ‘pocket dynamite’”. Commenting on the performances Wasim said that, “this show is a great attempt to build relationships between the new generations of the two countries.”
Ansh and Wania conclude the show with “Udde jab jab zulfein” while taking away the ‘Jodi of the Week” title. All in all a great performance is made of not only a great performer but also a great mentor, and Chhote Ustaad seems to have given its contestants the best in the field.
To find out if Yorkers and Bouncers will be able to save the Jhappi Jodi from eliminations, catch Amul Chhote Ustaad – Do Deshon Ki Ek Awaaz on STAR PLUS on Aug 29th at 9pm.
