The phenomenal victory of the first two seasons of Vijay TV’s most popular reality hunt, Super Singer has paved way to launch the third season. Nikhil Mathew and Ajeesh have become house-hold names across Tamilnadu. Following the footsteps of Nikhil Mathew who was launched by Harris Jeyaraj, Airtel Super Singer 2008 winner Ajeesh also had rendered his melodious voice to Yuvan Shankar’s musical, with ‘Ithuvarai ilaatha unarvidhu’ a duet song pairing with Andrea for the film Goa.
The first ground level auditions that took place in Chennai and Coimbatore witnessed thousands of interested and aspiring young singers. Eminent singing personalities like S.P.Shylaja, Unni Menon, Pop Shalini, Mahathi and Carnatic vocalist Sowmya were the Judges for the preliminary auditions in Chennai and Coimbatore respectively.
It is time for the Tiruchy singers to join the battle of Super Singer. Video booths are set up at various vantage locations in the city from July 19th-July 23rd from 10:30am. Video booths are set up at places like Singapore Hardware’s, Opp Raja Theatre; Spencers No.6, Bharathiyar Salai and Mankudi Restaurant, McDonalds’ Road, Near Maalaimalar office. Talented youngsters, those who have still not registered their voices could visit SRM Hotel, Race Course, Kaja Maalai, Tiruchi on Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 8am onwards to participate in the ground auditions.
Airtel Super Singer 3 promises to be bigger than its predecessors. The initial episodes of Super Singer would feature the auditions phase of various zones. Unique themes like melody, folk, western, duet, one-on-one, unplugged, and many more would be the challenges that be thrown.
Popular playback singers Srinivas, Unni Krishnan and Sujatha would be the Judges for Airtel Super Singer 3. This year, the winner gets to take a beautiful flat worth Rs.40 lakhs. Do not miss to watch the all new Airtel Super Singer 3 airing every Monday – Thursday at 9pm on Vijay TV.
