Delhi 22 June 2010 : After enthralling the nation with breathtaking acts and spellbinding entertainment in its first season, India’s biggest talent show, India’s Got Talent has returned in a grander avatar on COLORS. Aptly titled ‘Khoj 2’, the search for ordinary people with astonishingly extraordinary talent will start in Delhi, with auditions presided by the eminent jury comprising of Kirron Kher, Sonali Bendre and Sajid Khan. With the judges keeping a keen vigil for the unique talent, the charming hosts, Nikhil Chinappa and Ayushman will also be present as Jai and Veeru to pep up the spirits of the participants.

Combing the country for hidden talents, India’s Got Talent – Khoj 2 is going to be way bigger than the first season as the country will get to see a lot of new talent and some mind boggling acts. The show that travelled to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad last year will also travel to destinations like Ludhiana, Lucknow, Muzaffarpur, Jodhpur, Guwahati, Shillong, Gwalior, Nagpur, Thrissur, and Srinagar this year to find that individual or group, whose talent is, in a word, mind-blowing! What’s more? As the format of the show goes, anybody who may be six years old or even sixty, tall, short, fat, thin, anyone and everyone is welcome to participate. And as far as the talent goes, it’s not about who does it best, it’s all about is the act entertaining enough? Like last season, this season will also see acts ranging from the common forms of entertainment of singing, dancing, acting to the interesting forms of art that include magic, mimicry to the daring performance arts which may include martial arts or even kushti, to something totally mind boggling and utterly bizarre.

“After the first season of India’s Got Talent, my expectations from this season are tremendous. There is a treasure of hidden talent waiting to be discovered in our country and I am looking forward to be surprised, stumped and stunned again this season” said the vivacious actress, Sonali Bendre.

Kirron Kher who will be focusing on technique and presentation of the participants said, “I am delighted to be back! It is not only a life changing experience for the contestants but also a humbling experience for all of us to witness such amazing talent from across the country on one platform. I can’t wait to find out what tricks contestants will come up with to entertain the nation this season.”

Joining Kirron and Sonali in the hunt for the most talented performers in the country this season is Sajid Khan. Known for his unique brand of entertainment himself, Sajid is looking for paisa-vasool entertainment. He said, “Providing entertainment to completely different segments of the audience is a very difficult task. At the auditions, I am looking for originality and freshness in the acts and that paisa-vasool element in the contestants.”

Conceptualised by Simon Cowell’s SYCO TV Production Company and UK’s FremantleMedia, the producers of shows like American Idol and many other big ticket reality shows, India’s Got Talent Khoj 2 is a multi-performance high-entertainment variety show. In India, the magnum opus is produced by Big Synergy and will be seen on the COLORS screen later this year.
