Fracture
Blessed with a smart script, stylish direction and spectacular performances by Academy Award® winner Anthony Hopkins and Academy Award® nominee Ryan Gosling, Fracture is a perpetually compelling and watchable courtroom thriller.
It is a story of Ted Crawford (Anthony Hopkins) who brutally murders his wife and calmly waits for the police to arrest him. With the weapon and a signed confession in hand, Deputy District Attorney Willy Beachum (Ryan Gosling of fame The Notebook) believes a conviction is a slam dunk; that is until the case completely unravels. Now, with little evidence, Willy goes head to head with the cunning Mr. Crawford in a desperate search for the truth and the answer to one burning question: How is this guy getting away with murder?
A delicious game of cat and mouse that plays out between the man who pulled the trigger and the attorney prosecuting him that sets the movie apart from the usual legal drama.
If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers, tune in for Fracture on 10th April at 9 pm, only on HBO.
Role Models
Danny Donahue and Anson Wheeler are two salesmen who trash a company truck on an energy drink-fueled bender. Upon their arrest, the court gives them a choice: do hard time or spend 150 service hours with a mentorship program for kids. Soon, Danny and Anson are forced to tailor their brand of immature wisdom to their charges, Augie and Ronnie. And if they can just make it through probation without getting thrown in jail, the world’s worst role models will prove that, sometimes, it takes a village idiot to raise a child.
“Role Models” is an on-point example of refined humor starring Paul Rudd (the Apatow connection), Sean William Scott (returning to American Pie form) and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (“I am McLovin”). The movie is hysterical, raunchy, and touching. It is perhaps the best mix of elements—charm, wit, real emotion. It knows when to end. It never outlasts its welcome, and will leave you spent from laughter and fully satisfied.
Catch the comedy Role Models on 17th April at 9pm only on HBO, this one is sure to make you laugh and warm your heart!
The Tale of Depereaux
Once upon a time, in the far away kingdom of Dor, lived a brave and virtuous mouse with comically oversized ears who dreamt of becoming a Knight. Banished from his home for having such lofty ambitions, Despereaux (voiced by Golden Globe nominee Matthew Broderick) sets off on an amazing adventure with his good-hearted rat friend, Roscuro (voiced by Academy Award® winner Dustin Hoffman), who leads him, at long last, on a very noble quest to rescue an endangered princess (voiced by Hermione of Harry Potter series) and save an entire kingdom from darkness.
“The Tale of Depereaux” is a tale of three unlikely heroes – a misfit mouse who prefers reading books to eating them, an unhappy rat who schemes to leave the darkness of the dungeon, and a bumbling servant girl with cauliflower ears – whose fates are intertwined with that of the castle’s princess.
A beautifully animated film with a gorgeous soundtrack, it promises to be the perfect Saturday treat for the kids!
