Mukundi tells his son Chukundi that a teacher is greater than God!
The next day Chuku’s teacher throws his out of the school for having worn socks that dont match. Mukundi is surprised at this over reaction of the teacher and goes to argue withhim but the teacher tells Mukundi that he is no one to argue with him and he needs to respect the fact that he is a teacher. Mukundi is upset that teachers of today are not what they used to be…
In a couple of days Muundi receives an invite to a neta’s daughters wedding. He is shocked to find out that teh wedding is being held in the school and all the school teachers are busy managing the wedding and the chores around it. The art teacher is painting the welcome board, the geography teacher is giving directions to the guests etc. While Mukundi is leacing, the same teacher who had thrown out Chuku fromthe school folds his hnads before Mukundi and mouths apologies in case anything at the wedding has gone wrong. Mukundi is hurt and tells the teacher that you are a GURU – you need to respect yourself before others respect you. Mukundi is glad that he did not bring Chukandi with him or he would never be able to respect his teachers again after seeing how they were being servile at the wedding ….
