The protagonist, Sulakshana is a 20-years-old, traditional small town girl. Daughter of Dattatray and Vasundhara, She is a beautiful girl with strong values and culture. Where Tanaji, a village sahukar wants to take advantage of the financial handicap and get married to Sulakshana, her own aunt proposes her Son’s hand for Sulakshana. On the other hand, she gets a marriage proposal from Vitthal, an unattractive by innocent man from Mumbai. The dilemma that Sulakshana faces in dealing with the situation defines her character that will create instant connect with every girl in this phas eof life. Well-recognized celebrity Deepti Devi plays the role of Sulkashana along with other well known Marathi television stalwarts like Ashok Shinde who plays Dattatray, Sulakshana’s father, Anant Joag, who portrays the character of Tanaji, the village goon and Sonali Pandit who plays the role of Vasundhara, Sulakshana’s mother. The role of the male protagonist, Vitthal is played by Vikas Patil and the negative character – Rasika who is Vitthal’s sister-in-law is played by Radhika Harshe.
