The Superstars are here to set the stage on fire
The stage is set, dancing shoes donned and cameras ready to roll! Brace yourself as STAR World brings together the finest of dancers across the world under one big platform! Starting 25th May, 9pm, STAR World presents ‘Superstars of Dance’; the biggest international dance extravaganza ever witnessed on Indian Television.
With 8 countries presenting their traditional dances on a single stage, Superstars of Dance is poised to become one the greatest spectacles of dance performance ever seen on television. Each week contestants from Argentina, Australia, China, India, Ireland, Russia, South Africa and the USA will perform two-step, tango and tap before a judging panel of eight world-famous dancers. Each country’s team comprises of two soloists, one duo and one larger group. Viewers will get to know the competitors and the coaches through the trials and tribulations, both behind the scenes and on the stage. The stakes are high for these artists, as they are not only representing themselves, but are also representing their country.
Hosted by legendary dancer Michael Flatley (Lord of the Dance), Superstars of Dance is an international dance competition from producers Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe, the team behind American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance?
“I was fascinated by the thought that we could have a dance series in which professional dancers show audiences the different styles of dance from around the world,” explains Michael Flatley. “A lot of these people are world champions and I’m glad I’m not judging because it is an intense competition.”
