Every week the show will have politicians from key political parties and experts debating on the big election issues. The first episode of the show featured a fierce debate between Arun Jaitley & Kapil Sibal on issues like national security, governance, job loss & economy and country’s present political scenario. While the two politicians were at loggerheads over most of issues discussed, both of them shared same views on the major issue of terrorism and agreed that it needs to be strongly addressed devoid of political overtones and religious appeasement.
The quest for knowing the politicians and their responses to the national issues continues among viewers as they post more and more video responses on IBNPolitics.com. Through the videos uploaded, the viewers are raising questions on issues of national importance that affect the masses.
Speaking on the initiative, Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, IBN18 Network said, “Battle for India is a series where newsmakers debate on real election issues as the public makes its voices heard. The show empowers the viewers to question the politicians and helps them decide on whom should they vote for and why?”
