HBO brings a blockbuster fair in the month of April

Celebrating the spirit of sports this cricket season, HBO has lined up a special bouquet of movies under the banner Hollywood Premiere League which starts on April 1st showcasing a host of exciting premieres and blockbuster movie which will keep the viewers glued in front of their TV, carrying on the excitement even when cricket is over. In this special line-up for the month of April HBO will present HBO Blockbuster of the Month, HBO See It First Movies, HBO Friday Blockbusters and HBO Sunday Super Hits showcasing critically acclaimed movies. HBO also brings an Earth Day special showcase this year with the premiere of The 11th Hour.

This month of HPL brings for its viewers the Oscar celebrated action drama “American Gangster” premiering as the Blockbuster of the Month on 24th April featuring Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe and Josh Brolin. The story revolves around Frank Lucas who is a powerful and respected member of the social elite. Intelligent and observant, Lucas is responsible for the widespread drug addiction running rampant on the streets of Harlem. Detective Richie Roberts is an outcast cop and a womanizing boor, but is also the only cop willing and capable to take on the burgeoning drug problem. Catch this crime drama, which analyzes the social milieu of Harlem and raises thought-provoking questions on the pursuit and validity of The American Dream, only on HBO.

The line up commences with a double whammy of sci-fi horror movies Cloverfield starring Michael Stahl-David, Odette Yustman, Lizzy Caplan and Miller T.J, on 4th April and The Invasion starring Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, Jeremy Northam and Mailn Akerman on 11th April. The suspense thriller The Brave One keeps the thrill alive with Jodie Foster unleashing her rage on the mean streets of New York. The movie also stars Terrence Howard, and premieres on 25th April.

Action adventure movie Spiderman 3 starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco and Thomas Haden Church makes way on 3rd April followed by the romantic drama Music and Lyrics starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore on 10th April. In support of Earth Day, HBO brings for its viewers an exclusive premiere of The 11th Hour on 22nd April. The film features Academy Award winning actor Leonardo Dicaprio where he narrates a documentary on global warming and offers some fascinating solutions on how to go about solving this climate crisis.

HBO brings star-studded nights every week of this month with HBO Sunday Super Hits each Sunday night at 9 pm. So get ready to roll out the red carpet for your favourite Hollywood stars starting with the splendid cast of the action-thriller The Score on 5th April starring Robrt De Niro, Edward Norton, Marlon Brando and Angela Bassett followed by Michael Douglas and Sean Penn starrer suspense thriller The Game on 12th April.
