BIG 92.7 FM, ALLAHABAD celebrates its First Anniversary

Allahabad, February 26, 2009: BIG 92.7 FM, Allahabad, completed one year of successful operations in the city, where it has managed to bring a new meaning to the word aural entertainment! BIG FM which boasts of setting up the largest radio network in the shortest possible time already has presence in 45 cities across India. It began with its launch in September 2006 and in a short span of time, has ensured presence across the length and breadth of the country. The Allahabad Station has in the last one year grown to be an addiction amongst the people of city, who are ardent lovers of BIG FM RJs and the shows on BIG 92.7 FM.

Since its launch, the Station has created a new meaning to the word ‘entertainment’ in the City and has been instrumental in bridging the social gap and creating awareness among the people of the city. The station has not only provided a whole-some mix of entertainment to the local populace, but also acted as a forum to address various social concerns / issues faced by them. The Station, which lives its brand-line, Suno Sunao, Life Banao in everything that it does has undertaken activities that have really impacted listener lives positively. Hence, whether it was bringing smile on the faces of unprivileged children through ‘Tamso Maa Jyotirgamya’ on Diwali or joining hands to save the holy river and the pride of Allahabad – ‘Sangam’ through their ‘Deep Daan’ campaign or organizing the very exciting RJ Marathon for non-stop 92 hours and 7 minutes, or the excellent programming mix of the station, the endeavor has always been to offer a wholesome entertainment mix to its listeners.

As part of its anniversary celebrations, the Station has put together an exciting line up which is sure to keep the listener glued to the Station. Among other things, the Station has a new on air contest ‘Ek din ka junior RJ’ wherein students can participate and win a chance to co-host a show with the RJ, live on the Station.  The candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their enthusiasm level, presence of mind and sense of humor.
